Milwaukee Public Market
Wednesday, 19 October 2005
The new Milwaukee Public Market has opened this past weekend and you should check it out if you’re in the area. They’ve got a bunch of great shops there and more coming from what they say.
We checked it out on the grand opening weekend and supposedly something like 15,000 people showed up. What an awesome turnout! We picked up some really good cheese, got some fresh vegetables and generally just looked around a bit.
I went back during the week and got some soup (bread included) and a bit of cheese for lunch. It was real good. The crowds were not nearly as big luckily, but there were a good number of people there supporting the public market.
Now if things in downtown Milwaukee would stay open later than 7PM, then we’d be set.
